An attempt to do the ridge round to Dollar Law near Peebles with Mum & Dad. Cut short as, despite the strong wind, the cloud never left the top so we decided it probably wasn't worth it. Only a handful of photos due to failing camera batteries.

Trip out to see the Falkirk wheel. Rather impressive. For those of you who don't know, it was build about 2000, as a novel replacement for a series of canal locks - two basins which rotate around each other to raise and lower boats, in a balanced system. Well worth a visit.

The first expedidtion in Wales! Jo and Colin came down to try out Jo's new boots (and see me). Sugarloaf near Abergavenny was chosen as it's quite close and not too strenuous. It turned out to be a lot quicker than the book said, so we took the long way back down, which was worth it for the view,
